Q.  What is mattress recycling?

Answer:  Mattress recycling is the process of dismantling this bulky item, and putting its components (steel, fabric, foam, wood) back into the production of new products.  The Earth is not getting any bigger, but the population is increasing, and the demand for products are getting damanding.  We have to get in the practice of recycling everything back in the production of new products, instead of pulling from our natural resources (materials from the Earth).

 

Q.  Why should I recycle my mattress?

Answer:  Everyone should recycle their mattress because it is up to 95% recyclable and this environmental responsibility diverts them from the landfills and incinerators in our communities.

 

Q.  Why should a hotel/motel be "green"?

Answers:  Being green goes directly to your bottom line.  

               Being green goes directly to a higher long-term value of your property.  

               Being green goes directly to your front doors which open wide to bring guests back again and again.

               Being green goes directly to keeping staff long-term because management clearly cares for their health and well-being.

 

Q.  What are "green" hotels/motels?

Answer:   Green hotel/motel are evironmentally-friendly properties whose managers are eager to institute programs that                                  save water, save energy and reduce solid waste, while saving money, to help protect and save the environment.

 

Q.  How can DGreenMDR help our property increase it's "green-ness"? 

Answer:  DGreenMDR "Mattress Recycling Program" is the perfect program for disposing large quantities of the mattress and box                      spring.  

 

Q.  Can I recycle my box spring?

Answer:  Yes. The box spring has fabric, wood and springs (steel) that are recyclable.

 

Q.  Does DGreenMDR accept commercial accounts? 

Answer:  Yes. "COMING SOON" This partnership will reduce landfill waste and cut the CO2 (carbon dioxide) and GHG (greenhouse gas) levels in our communities.  We welcome commercial accounts nationwide, so all mattresses and box springs can be diverted from landfills across the U.S.  If you are located in the U.S., we can help you to achieve your sustainability goals and reduce your carbon footprint.

 

Q.  Does DGreenMDR accept residential mattresses and box springs?

Answer:  Yes.  "COMING SOON" We will accept residential disposal of the used mattress and box spring if you're located in the DE, PA, NJ, or MD area.  Please contact us and tell us your needs.

 

Q.  What areas does DGreenMDR offer its services?

Answer:  "COMING SOON"  We offer commercial and residential services in Delaware, Southeastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and Northern Maryland.  We also offer commercial services nationwide to help save the environment as much across the U.S. as possible. 

 

Q.  Do I need to put my mattress in a plastic bed bag in order to recycle it?

Answer:  Yes.  If it is to be picked up from an outdoor location or if it has bed bugs.

 

Q.  Can I bring my mattress to your facility?

Answer:  "COMING SOON" Drop-off will be offered during the facility operating hours.
